Che cosa? La rappresentazione “Seaside rendez-vous” tratto da “Deckchairs” di Jean McDonell, una delle scrittrici Inglese maggiormente considerate per il finissimo 'British humour'. Lo spettacolo è composto da quattro aneddoti, di cui due tragici e due comici con un colpo di coda nel finale che toccano i temi più profondi della vita quali l’amore, l’orgoglio, il rimorso, la solitudine e la speranza. Per una maggiore comprensione dello spettacolo in lingua Inglese, il Regista anticiperà ogni aneddoto con una breve spiegazione e inoltre sul programma distribuito in sala ci sarà un glossario di parole con relativa traduzione che potrebbero essere un po’ “ostiche” alla comprensione.

What? Seaside Rendezvous is an adaptation of 'Deckchairs' by Jean McDonnell, a highly admired British comic playwright. It involves 4 episodes, of which 2 are tragic and 2 are comic, all of which have a twist in the tail. They touch on the most profound of life's emotions - love, pride, remorse, loneliness and hope.

I musei Torinesi più visitati - Turin's most visited museums

Which of the following museums have you visited in the past 5 years? As the results on the left show, the Museo del Cinema is the most visited, with 87% of respondents having visited in the past 5 years. In second place comes Palazzo Madama, with 73% of those surveyed having visited in that period, followed by the Egyptian Museum at 67%. But oh dear, the Museo dello Sindone (the Museum of the Turin Shroud) and the Museo della Frutta (the Fruit Museum) don't perform too well, with 0% of those responding to this survey having visited in the past 5 years. But which museum is the favourite? If you look at the full results of the questionnaire, you can see that the resounding winner is the Museo del Cinema, with 50% of respondents quoting it as their favourite museum. In second place is the Museo Egizio with 21% of the vote.

Come mostrato dai risultati sopra, il Museo del Cinema è il museo più visitato di Torino - il 87% di persone ha visitato negli ultimi 5 anni. Ma ahimè, il Museo dello Sindone e il Museo della Frutta non hanno raggiunto risultati cosi notevoli - il 0% di quelli che hanno risposto al questionario ha visitato questi musei negli ultimi 5 anni. Sei ti incuriosisce l'idea di un Museo della Frutta, dai un'ochhiata a loro sito web.

Ma quale museo è il preferito? Se guardi i risultati completi del questionario, vedrai che il vincitore strepitoso è il Museo del Cinema. Ben 50% dei partecipanti ha detto che il museo antonelliano è il loro museo preferito di Torino. Nel secondo posto c'è il Museo Egizio, con 21% del voto.

Il 31% ha detto da €31 a €40, mentre 23% sarebbe disposto a pagare da €41 a €50, la fascia in cui si trova il vero prezzo del abbonamento (se vedi il post del 16 ottobre, scoprirai che il prezzo reale del abbonamento è di €45). How much would you be prepared to pay for a Museum Card 2009? Above, you can see the results of this question. 31% of respondents said they would be prepared to pay €31 to €40, while 23 % would be happy to pay between €41 and €50, the range in which the actual price of the card falls (if you see the post on 16 October, you'll discover that the current price of the card is €45). The card costs €45 (€28 concessions) and is valid for the calendar year, January to December - perhaps something to put on your Christmas list! Siddhartha, il Buddha

You can currently visit this fabulous exhibition in Piazza San Carlo, until the 8th December 2008. Through photographs and narrative it tells the story of the life and teachings of the Buddha. The authors of the exhibition are Tiziana and Gianni Baldizzone, and you can find out more and see further images, here. I can highly recommend it!

E' attualmente possibile visitare questa bellissima mostra a Piazza San Carlo, fino al 8 dicembre 2008. Racconta, attraverso immagini e testo, la vita e filosofia del Buddha. I creatori della mostra sono Tiziana e Gianni Baldizzone, e potresti scoprire di più, e vedere ancora qualche immagine qui. Te lo consiglio caldamente!
